I had same idea they want a necro so i took sv and pain inverter (max rank) got in eventually and have done duncan twice as spirit spammer.

I will add necrosis as well next time as i am max rank sunspear too 90 damage 5 energy and 2 sec recharge who needs sig of sorrow? Also a grail consumable will boost attributes+1 for the blood.

People need to think outside the box!!!

Me and a friend usually run a warrior with Ursan blessing to tank, An SS and SV heroes, One LoD Prot Hybrid and an HB monk, with 3 SH eles. It's capable of clearing each dungeon with great success. Bring frozen soil on one of the necros to kill the stone summit rez fest.

Default Defeating Duncan w/ H/H

Getting to Duncan was not a problem, especially with careful pulling and keeping a keen eye out on the situation.

Moved the spirits far away using Swap. A little too far one might say but what the heck lol.

When I got to Duncan, I died next to him and had Whispers spam Signet of Sorrow on him. Worked quite well,
wish I had a hero with protective spirit so I could have kept it up permanently on him but I did not anticipate
this before I was already there, lol.

Duncan was a piece of pie to defeat using this method. The only thing I did not like was how long it took kill him.
Again, this would have gone smoother if Whispers did not die continually due to him not having prot spirit on him
indefinetly. So he reaches 60 DP quite fast but again this is not a problem, just flag em there and go have a snack, lol.

This is probably old by now, but I thought, what the hey, lol.

When you finally kill everything before duncan. How do you get to him?

You just go into the dungeon and all you have to do is fight duncan? Or do you have to fight alot of other mobs on the way to him?

If you didn't have to fight other mobs you could of done that and packed everyone with signet of sorrow and massacred him even faster.

You do need to fight through mobs of Stone summits and some spirits before you reach Duncan

An SS and an SV hero, both with signet of sorrow, defintely speeds up the process. But to use this build you'll most likely need to bring a friend along with their heroes. Since Using a hero spot for an SV definitely hinders actually getting to Duncan.

To the above posts. I did not use the same builds for all the bosses, they did change quite drastically in some of the other situations. Forge being one of them, went heavy anti-cast for him.

This is just one way of doing it, probably not the most efficient but it did work quite well for me anyways. What the above user suggested works as well but my only concern with that is taking a smite monk would hinder damage to a degree when reaching Duncan. My builds were focused on pummeling the Summit and making sure they did not rez (Frozen Forest). When done correctly the Summit were very easy to defeat.

To MercenaryKnight, that is not a viable option since SoS has a Soul Reaping req.

[skill]Smite Hex[/skill][skill]Reversal of Damage[/skill][skill]Shield of Judgment[/skill][skill]Blessed Aura[/skill][skill]Holy Wrath[/skill][skill]Retribution[/skill]

People underestimate smiters.
Whenever someone mentions a smiting build most people think of a bad dmg. dealing build with Signet of Judgment as elite, not realising that a smiting monk does not have to abandon the idea of keeping someone alive, but in fact he can keep a lot pressure off your monks, heal, and do dmg. at the same time.
I use this build in most of the dungeons, it's very effective build in any dungeon, and turns to a IMBA build when facing undead.

Went with a guild group to Justiciar Thommis. Only a handful of deaths throughout the entire dungeon.

Players:
Two Warriors
Paragon (me) (SY/TNTF)
Splinter barrage (two with pet/interrupts).

Heroes:
Two more splinter barrage (with pets/interrupts)
LOD monk and a ZB Prot monk.

80 minutes and took out Thommis and Stormweaver. (quite a bit because I was having connection issues)

The evil restless dead touchers have been giving me grief in Duncan's dungeon. Any tips?

The doorway to the room where Thommis waits is about the max distance you can pull a mob so this is where you want to do your fighting.
  • Flag your heroes a bit back from the doorway to his room.
  • Go in and try a small pull.
  • If you get a small pull then try to get them all the way to the doorway where you're heroes will kill them.
  • If you get a large mob you'll want to do a little fighting (and hopefully kill 1-2) but you then want to re-flag the heroes and move them even further back because you don't want to be facing 20 summit.
  • Wash-rinse-repeat.

Sometimes you'll get lucky and Thommis will get stuck in the doorway. At this point go all out to kill him as his death will cause the summit that are still alive to disappear.

The real trick is knowing that you have to fight at the edge of how far the mob will follow you. That way if you start taking heavy damage or start running low in energy you can pull back and get relief.

I went with Sab's build and me as a spirit spam rit. The trick with the SP touchers is not to wake up more than 4-5 at a time. Your hench monks can outheal their damage easily in small numbers. Usually I flag my heroes away from the SP toucher popup areas and do a VERY CAREFUL sweep to get a few following me.

You want to have your heroes flagged so that when the SP popups happen that you'll get a little healing as you try to get back to the flag. If you're too far out you may die trying to get back. The SP touchers will follow you back to your heroes who'll be more than happy to dispatch them.

I highly suggest taking some sort of snare on at least one of your heroes. This will allow your other hench/heroes to kite the touchers (yeah I know they teleport). Then the rest of the team can degen/damage them touchers to death. Be sure to focus on single toucher at a time because having a hero/hence per toucher = wipe.

I'd be interested in hearing what people run on a H/H team for Forgewight. The best luck I've had is with myself setup with as a resto rit.

1 Choking gas hero ranger.
1 Domination hero mesmer using powerblock.
1 SS hero necro (based on Sab's SS necro)
Devona
Talon
Mhenlo
Lina

Still I found it incredibly slow. So I'm wondering if people have found a better way?
